Hey everyone!
It's been a while since I checked here.
I am doing well, but these summers are too hot to be productive [s-30].
Private matters
In the recent days I've been working on my own programming langauge's design.
I've been working in it for about 6 years now.
It is finally shaping up nicely to the point I can start writing the compiler and language server.
Only problem is that I can't work on it too long, it requires much thoughts and careful planning.
Make no mistake, designing languages and building compilers is one of the most complex things one can do with programming.
My goal with the language is to design a higher-level version of C that can run on any platform supported by C99.
This way embedded / Internet of things / low-end / high-performance hardware can take advantage of both immense speed, high portability and ease of use.
Aki 1.4.3
As for Aki 1.4.3, thanks to the contributions made by everyone we finally support chinese translations of the watermark in the server.
We now also include a statement where we explicitly mention that the server is free of charge, and that reselling is forbidden.
A link to oddba will be shown instead of senko's pub as well, as this is where most chinese comminucation happens.
In addition, in Aki 1.4.X you can change the server port (Aki_Data/database/server.json).
You also have the ability to define manual load order (create user/mods/loadorder.json) that looks like this:
[ "senko-modapi", "senko-debug", "senko-aio" ]
Regarding thiefs
Regarding mods being stolen, the news reached my ears.
I do not know the details, I can only give high-level comments.
I am very saddened to hear it happened and my thoughts go out to everyone affected by these sellers.
We sadly cannot stop sellers from reselling what they don't own, we can only inform those who purchased that they bought illegal goods.
Our little experiment was a success.
Unlike C#, there are no good tools to read V8 bytecode from javascript.
To protect your work, please include a copy of bytenode (https://github.com/bytenode/bytenode) in your mod and compile your source code using it.
If there is interest, I am willing to write a tutorial to demonstrate how you can protect your work.
At last
Sorry for not being here often, there is much to coordinate, work and spend time on.
I really do appriciate everyone's ungoing support and feedback!
Hopefully EFT will drop a big update soon to rekindle the interest in the game for many players.
Thank you for your awesome work!!!!!!!!
