There is a new mechanism introduced in AKI 2.0.0-A9: signature validation.
This is a security mechanism that detects and prevwnts loading of tampered assemblies through dnspy or other means.
This will allow modders to protect their work without relying on online DRM, obfuscation and encryption and thus are also allowed to upload to the EN community.
So far public testing went well. Out of 2100 downloads (EN only), 5 users reported a false-flag case (both EN (1) and CN (4)).
False flagging has most likely to do with not having the correct NET Framework installed, but its uncertain as the sample size is just too small to draw any conclusion from (> 1% of users).
Just like the anti-piracy check, the new security mechanism is here to stay.
I am currently on vacatiom, but when I get back I will make some samples and tutorials how to properly usw the new system for modders.
